Amazon & Walmart repricer FAQ

Getting started

How do I connect Amazon or Walmart?

Amazon opens Seller Central’s authorization screen, where you approve Lumipricer and return to the app. Walmart currently uses a Production API Client ID and Client Secret that you reach from Seller Center under Apps → Connected Apps → Developer Portal → Production Keys. Lumipricer checks the Walmart credentials before accepting them, encrypts marketplace credentials in the pricing service, and never asks for either marketplace password.

Will Lumipricer change my prices as soon as I connect?

No. Listings start Off. You choose when to move a listing into Preview or Live. Preview may run before cost onboarding is complete because it sends no marketplace price; Live is refused until Lumipricer has the protected economics and other required readiness evidence for that listing.

Can I see what it would do before letting it change prices?

Yes. Preview runs the pricing decision path, records the proposed move or hold, and submits nothing. A Preview decision is labelled as simulated and is never counted as a real marketplace price change. When you later choose Live, submitted, waiting, accepted, rejected, and marketplace-confirmed states remain separate.

When does the 14-day trial start?

Creating a Lumipricer login does not consume the Live trial. The 14-day no-card trial begins after an eligible Amazon or Walmart seller account is successfully verified. This lets a seller create the account, understand the setup path, and then use the trial on a real connected store rather than losing trial days before verification.

Can I stop everything quickly if something looks wrong?

Yes. A listing can be returned to Preview or Off, and account, store, and global safeguards can stop real price writes. The write gate fails closed: when a required safety state cannot be read, Lumipricer does not send a price.

How do I set costs and minimums?

Start with one all-in landed cost per SKU, edit it in bulk, or upload a CSV. Optional cost detail can be added later. Lumipricer combines the authoritative cost, applicable marketplace economics, the selected margin target, and seller-entered minimum or maximum limits to determine the protected range. Missing or contradictory Live inputs are refused rather than guessed.

Pricing strategy and marketplace truth

What makes Lumipricer different from a basic repricer?

Lumipricer is built around evidence a seller can inspect: the cost used, the market observation, the strategy and boundary check, the proposed decision, the price request, and the price the marketplace later confirms. It does not present a submitted price as accepted, and it does not turn missing fulfillment, cost, inventory, or price confirmation into a confident margin.

What stops it following a competitor all the way down?

The protected floor is the hard limit. Optional descent controls can also cap how often a listing follows downward, how far it falls from its opening position, and how much room above the floor one cut may consume. These controls block cuts only; they do not prevent a price from moving back up. Every hold records the reason and arithmetic.

Can I price differently at different times?

Yes. A schedule can pause repricing, select another strategy, or use another margin target during named hours and days. Windows use the configured marketplace timezone, can cross midnight, and never remove hard boundaries such as MAP, seller minimum, or the protected economics.

Should I run Walmart’s native repricer and Lumipricer on the same item?

No. One listing should have one active price-writing authority. Two automated repricers can overwrite one another, make confirmation difficult to interpret, and create needless feed traffic. Remove a pilot SKU from any other automated pricing strategy before moving that SKU to Lumipricer Live. See the Walmart repricer comparison for a neutral decision guide.

Does Lumipricer coordinate prices with other sellers?

No. Lumipricer makes unilateral decisions from one seller’s rules, costs, authorized marketplace data, and publicly available market observations. It does not communicate with, signal to, or share one seller’s private data with another seller or repricing tool.

Data & security

What data does Lumipricer access?

Lumipricer accesses the listing, catalog, offer, inventory, order, and pricing data needed for the connected repricing and reporting features through Amazon Selling Partner API or Walmart Marketplace APIs. It does not receive marketplace passwords, payout settings, or banking credentials. See the Privacy Policy and Security & Trust page.

Is my data shared with other sellers?

No. Seller catalogs, costs, strategies, orders, pricing decisions, and marketplace credentials are isolated. One seller’s private data is not used to set another seller’s prices.

Plans & billing

How much does Lumipricer cost?

Amazon plans currently start at $59 per month and Walmart plans at $69 per month, with capacity based on actively repriced listings. Imported or Off listings do not consume the Live allowance. See the current limits and plan definitions on Pricing.

Is there a free trial?

Yes. Eligible sellers receive a 14-day Live trial after marketplace verification, with no card required to begin. Create a Lumipricer account without starting the trial clock.

Can I cancel or disconnect?

Yes. Subscription cancellation, Live repricing state, marketplace revocation, and account deletion are separate controls. This avoids treating “stop billing,” “stop price writes,” and “delete marketplace data” as the same irreversible action. Store disconnection and account closure follow the deletion windows stated in the Privacy Policy.
